fibro symptoms? ? please help

Hi everyone, just looking for some advice. I've been really unwell recently and wondering if my symptoms are fibro related? I will list everything although I realise some may not be. Been to Dr's and going again Monday as symptoms have worsened. Some iv had alot longer than others. .

▪ chronic back pain (feels like up the spine)
▪ can't sleep at night due to pain in back
▪thirst
▪needed to urinate alot
Flu like symptoms .. earache headache swollen glands
▪ dry mouth
▪dizzy
▪breathless
▪eyesight can go abit funny at times
▪tiredness
▪neck pain
▪dull achy pain in shin bones and down arms especially in the cold
▪ irregular menstrual cycles
■chest pain
▪panicky

Plus my mum was diagnosed last year with fibromyalgia

The excessive thirst and urination could be high blood sugar. I would keep an eye on it. Maybe get a blood or urine check.

We have an awesome thread called "fibro 101", it is the first thread on the forum. There is a list of symptoms there. You sound like you have some, but it sounds like there is more going on too. You may have some anxiety going on too. I would check out the list of symptoms and see what you think.

Dizzy and short of breath and even racing heart sensations can be low iron. Ask the doctor to check your Serum Ferritin. Some doctors only check Hemoglobin, but that is not enough. It can also contribute to bodily pain. A good Serum Ferritin is 40 or higher.

It can also cause calf pains and fatigue like you describe.

I went through this when my own was around '5' and even ZERO (lab report said "undetectable").

Hi, Pam, and welcome! Low magnesium can cause some of your symptoms also. You need to be thoroughly checked out by your doctor and a myriad of tests should be performed to rule out other illnesses that share many of the same symptoms as fibro...things link Lyme disease, lupus, and MS. This should be done before a diagnosis of fibro is given because you sure don't want a misdiagnosis.

Karen directed you to Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum. Good starting links for you would be Symptoms, What Else Could It Be, and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia. You just might see yourself there. There are links about magnesium malate and how this works in your body. Also low vitamin D3 can cause pain and fatigue, too, so many here take these supplements. Be sure to check with your doctor first though.

Thanks for replying. I have had the routine bloods done and nothing come up . Last time I sat he dr she was arranging a heart trace. My husband has MS so I'm very aware with its symptoms and know it's not that, 1 to cross off!

Hey... yes iv been tested for diabetes a couple of times but no they are fine. X
