I've had to go back on meds I take for when my digestion kicks up. This makes me very sleepy, even though I take it a couple hours before bedtime. I'm able to break the tablet in fourths, and take a tiny piece each hour, up to about
2 hours before I go to bed. This helps me not be overcome by sleepiness, but.....
I'm still groggy the next day. The pills (Elavil) do help, though! When I first started having this "issue," I took double the dose. I don't know how I did it!
So, I write myself lots of notes, take breaks, pace myself, even get a nap in, but I'm just wondering if anyone has other suggestions for getting though these VERY 'foggy' and sleepy days. The meds are just wonderful for the issue I have, and I know I won't be on them for months (actually I used to be on them for years) like I used to be, but they are awfully tiring. I sit down occasionally and feel like I could sleep in a heartbeat. I have to keep motivating myself. I keep moving and I remind myself "this, too, shall pass"!
Any other tips appreciated.
