Nice idea! I think you could probably substitute lavender for the cloves which might be more soothing.

I would like for someone to make me a full body microwaveable suit of this! !! Something I can wear to work yet still Street casual at the same time. Takers? ... anyone. .. anyone. .... Hello? A guy can dream I guess. Hope you are all doing well with these drastic weather changes.

LOL, Michael. A full-body microwavable suit--maybe we should put several orders in for that one.

Every time I get a particularly nasty flare, the thought of something like that comes to mind. Hmm...maybe you're onto something. Any inventive minds out there??

On my more painful days, I also want to wrap myself in layers of fluffy cotton and stay that way until Spring. :)

Thanks Michael for making me LOL. I think it is what we all need. I have microwaveable neck or bed buddies. Some are filled with seeds and one was filled with lavender. I use them so much that I often have to either take the seeds out and wash it or make a new one and stuff it with the seeds.

I will have a look when in the U.S. next time to buy a new bed buddy. Are they at Walgreen's?

One year for Christmas I found these things that were like a bed buddy, but went over your back and shoulders. I got some for a couple of my girlfriends. I wish I would of gotten me one because I don't see them anymore.

I will check out the bed buddy pattern now...

I needed some draft stoppers a few years ago so bought some mens tube socks & inserted foam insulation intended to fir around pipes, poured in some raw rice & used rubber bands to fasten the tops.

Thinking about doing something similar minus the insulation to make 'bed buddies'.

Think it will work ?

Great idea for draft stoppers, Diane!  I'm going to keep that one in mind once the snow comes and the air turns icy.  yeah  

 Yes, I've heard of using men's tube socks to make 'bed buddies,' too.   I would think as long as you're using the same or similar material(s) inside, it would work.  Rice seems to 'mold' well to where the pain is and the bed buddy is placed; maybe because it's so fine.  I love the idea of using lavender, too---maybe a nice mix would work??

'cause I used ponytail holders on the doorstop & think those would disintergrate in microwave:
Smallest amount of sewing puts my hands to sleep but I think I can manage this little bit.
