Twitchy muscles

Its been an altogether not too bad Christmas, although my beloved Goldfish Gerald decided to commit suicide and jump out of his tank. Found boxing day much to my sadness. I put continued teariness down to fibro as its now been 4 days.. or maybe I just really loved my fishy friend... ridiculous...

Moving forward.. I was diagnosed about a year a go with fibro.. I still resist this diagnosis. The consultant admitted they give it as a diagnosis when they can't find an answer/cure to your ailments. Now my sister has been diagnosed with exactly the same thing, although she also has a slightly under active thyroid and thickening of the muscle behind one eye, which I don't.. but with this diagnosis, it seems her dr's have just passed her over.

Is it me, or is it odd to have two members from one family diagnosed? Is that common? She is more accepting of the condition then me... I keep striving for an answer with more questions...

All of this being sad.. my new 'symptom' is twitching muscles. They occur all over my body. Sometimes just one or two twitches, or like my thumb.. twitched for two weeks driving me crackers and it kept me awake at night. Does any one else have this? My wrist twitched with a cup of tea in my hand, it tipped over.. This worries me. I guess I just need someone else with fibro to say this is all part of it and I can go back to not admitting I have it, whilst knowing I do, but I'm worried it something else? I also get pins and needles, most noticeably in my head.. always the same place.. sometimes for a few seconds, some times for a few mins.. again .. its this normal?

Any help you can give in relieving my hypochondria paranoia is most appreciated,

I took Lyrica for a couple years. Was taken off due to weight gain. Once off I began to get nerve spasms at bedtime. My back was twitching, my behind and sometimes into my leg. The medication, Nortriptyline (an anti-depressant) has stopped the spasms. I have had what must be spasms in my stomach, nerves jumping. I also used to get jumping nerves in my eyelids. My symptoms began after an infection with C. Diff. The meds used to fight the C. Diff. may have caused nerve damage. I had a lot of strange movements inside me.

Osteoarthritis in Multiple Joints, Fibromyalgia, Neuralgia, Chronic Daily Headaches, I.B., Hard of Hearing...

I either have twitches or spots where things stop working. In my house, I am not allowed to use breakables, lol. Sometimes I try harder and then get a spasm at the wrong time and send things flying....

This is all normal. In fact as I write this the calf muscles in both legs are twitching like crazy. It's every day for me, most noticeably when at rest. I just pretend it's aliens trying to punch their way out.

Some nights while falling asleep my whole arm will fly up in the air, or my whole body will jerk violently one big jerk. I use to worry like crazy about these things. I don't now. Acceptance and positive attitude are key to living with this ridiculous condition.

i have a problem with it myself. sometimes it can last for a few moments and sometimes like last Saturday it last for about an hour. my wife could feel our bed moving cause of it. it really get's annoying fast
