My only suggestion is to take a written outline of what has happened and what you are taking and what you need fixed. I have to write it out ahead in case I get foggy at the appointment (often). Otherwise I have to wait for the next time. I make a short list of what HAS to be covered as sort of a starting point. The docs get very mad these days if I don't bring up everything right up front. It's hard with the fog, but since they don't believe in that .... makes it interesting.
I got the Rheumatology appointment because of edema and arthritis. I couldn't get the primary to even discuss the word Fibromyalgia. When my daughter went, she was low in Vitamin D (she already takes Magnesium supplements for chronic migraines), but her primary wouldn't discuss Fibro again. I was told in the greater Buffalo area, everyone is low because we have so much winter.
Whatever you do, fight for you. Let us know how it goes.
