Hi, I'm new to the board, so here is a brief history. Diagnosed with Fibro 8 years ago. Sudden onset of symptoms 10 years ago following heat stroke. Pretty sure I have had it my whole life to a much lesser degree. My Mother was told after various tests when I was 5 that I was just a "naturally nervous person" I recently had a 72 hour ambulatory EEG.
During the EEG I was supposed to push a button when I felt a symptom occurring. Having Fibro Fog on a daily basis, I didn't remember to push the button. I did have to sit for 2 hours in front of a camera each day, during which time my jerks and ticks were occurring. Well a month later my GP called me and said that my EEG results were "unremarkable". That they showed no signs of anything abnormal. Now she is doubtful that I have Fibro at all based on a lack of "remarkable" data. I have struggled with the theory of, Its all in your head, knowing there is something terribly wrong with me but having no medical test results to confirm it. I am now having difficulty getting my Gabapentin and Tramadol refilled. I get one fill at a time with no refills. , these are maintenance medications that I have been on for three years . So I guess I'm really asking if a negative EEG means I don't really have Fibro?
