I figure there might be someone here that has gone to a NUCCA provider. You never know who's reading.
Its a very specialized type of adjustment. Again, its not like what the "regular" chiropractors do that are almost on every street corner.
Regular chiro works great for many people when their body "locks up" - as nothing else will work at that point to give them pain relief it seams. But the issue with regular chiro, is it takes many adjustments to make it last, and you have to learn your limitations with it, as it can hurt in some places. But this Nucca technique does not use the quick snapping adjustments like regular chiro does. It works differently.
Getting rigid muscles to loosen up is a biggie. I use a firm foam roller, tennis balls, Lacross ball, and TheraCane in conjunction with practicing forms of TriggerPoint Therapy, Myofacial Release and Active Release technique on myself with small, but forward results.
Chronic Lyme can leave ones body in a very MS like rigid state, so in order to get better some people literally have to try everything. Antibiotics kill the Lyme, but dont repair that damage it causes, if you had it for decades.
My body is structurally less twisted now, it has improved but very slowly, so I'm always interested in new ideas to get moving normally again. Since there are not many Nucca providers around, I'm trying to do a little homework first. .
