I've seen many gorgeous photos online of landscape quilts and fabric art. Beautiful!
Does anyone here do either or both of those? Is it difficult to learn, and how much sewing 'know how' is actually involved? Also, is a sewing machine needed or can they be done by hand?
This seems like an interesting winter craft and has always interested me, but I would like to know how difficult and involved it is. I especially like the scenes that use various art techniques, including paints, Sharpie markers, etc.. I suppose just about
anything could be added to the fabric to make pictures, correct?
I'm not much into sewing, except by hand, so I wonder if that would be an issue.
Could anyone recommend some beginner books on this?
This seems like it would be a good winter project, even in the middle of a mild flare! Looking into this at this time of year, I'd have several months to check out the possibility of doing this type of craft.
Any suggestions, hints, tips, very welcome! Thanks.
