I decided to start a new thread on this subject based on my 24 HR thoughts and research. (Sherrine was of great help in this as well as others).
After reading multiple links to various pieces of pharmacies, laws, changes to laws and the comments from members here I have come to a decision. I hope it is a happier one. I have the option of turning in my scripts to the evening/ weekend pharmacist. She never grills me and is relaxed about assisting me, while still following the laws and the companies mission statements. I am seeing my dr tomorrow and will have all my scripts after appt for the month. I will wait until her shift to turn them in. It is based on personality conflict not anything else.
Given my 11 yr history with them changing to a new pharmacy will begin higher scrutiny all over again. While I view this as a middle ground, I hope that the pharmacy views it like that as well. I have given them no reason to turn me away so I presume will be the case.
In addition I will not ask for refills on the 28 th day, even though this is my insurance law; a benefit actually, that I pay alot of money for in keeping this insurance plan.
I have made another important decision. I have offered up hours of my time to the other pharmacist about my health, all my conditions, my future plans, my dr plans, etc. Enough is enough. I am their customer, they are my business I chose to pay for my health needs. Going forward I will maintain a business relationship without assuming I will have any other relationship, like I have become accustomed to.
When I left yesterday, script in hand, I was in a lot of pain and knew that in the moment I could not think through what was happening. Arguing was not appropriate nor necessary. I have stepped back and used my action plan for wellness for my needs.
I hope that this is the last update to what has become a distressing situation.
