Hey there, They don't call fibromyalgia a multisystem disorder for nothin!
I am very happy to read your thread, and that a few things seem better. Never know what percentage improvement will make the tough times seem bearable. A few less straws on the camel's back....
From my viewpoint, I wish doctors would not forget that if antidepressants are being tried and failing, it's time to check thyroid output! It was a psychiatrist who asked for better thyroid tests & figured out that I needed a better doc for the endocrine issues more than I needed to see her. She also found my low cortisol, & low neurotransmitters (9 of 12 tested).
Before I forget I want to say that I appreciate the Thank You's more than you can guess. You have been very nice about
that. Its sure easy to forget there are people with sore fingers behind those internet replies. I AM Sorry to take so very long to reply to your other thread question. (still no internet @ home, just a busted-up,cheap smart phone that doesn't type anymore)
I had not listened to that interview with Lowe and Dr Mercola. Sometimes I don't want to trust sites who have to put out gobs & gobs of information. Same as my objections to Dr Oz....did a doctor collect and evaluate the info thoroughly or did a producer or assistant pull it off of the net?
But that was a good interview, so "Thanks" (again) Purple Lynx, I had missed it on my own. I have seen mention of the slowed achilles tendon tho, from another doctor, coincidentally in this city, who also has now passed away: ironically an "anti-aging" doc who died at 69. Oops...So much for his growth hormone prescript
ions? Well I don't know how he died, but seems to me like it's bad publicity for the clinic.
Anyways, I hope the old ways are not going to completely die out.
There are a couple of docs who have worked together & invented some contraption to make the timing of the (relaxing?) achilles response less subjective. Docs prolly like official gadgets, ya know. I'ld like one myself. As Astroman says, we need a home testing method for thyroid stuff.
