Getting off Lyrica - any tips?

If I don't take it (I have just two 50mg left) I am drenched in sweat with elevated anxiety and a bit of a headache (and no sleep). I have called my PDoc but I doubt very seriously he'll do any sort of assistance. I have scoured the web and discovered this site which pretty much sums up my experience:

I was on 300mg/day. This is going to be bruuutal. AND I have to work FT. Anybody have any advice for the anxiety/sweating?

Yep, we had a taper schedule but I think it was too fast for the length and dose that I was on (2 years at 150 - 300mg/day). I found something online that said taper at 10% each month which would take me forever and be a pain since they don't break down like that. I had been opening 50mg capsules for 25mg once a day and that's when I started having the issues. I even bumped myself back up to 50 yesterday and today and I am still having the symptoms (I'm typing at worked dripping with sweat.....EW) so I think I went way too fast.

My doc called and they are leaving a new prescription for me. I am very ambivalent about this. :-|

Are there any supplements that help? I'm already taking magnesium for muscles and drink the occasional kava/chamomile tea...

Hope your new meds help. I came off Lyrica slowly and with the direction of my Doctor. I still had some withdrawal symptoms - chills and itching. Once off Lyrica I began to get nerve spasms and restless legs when trying to sleep. I don't know if Lyrica was actually masking these. I didn't have them before I began Lyrica. I've yet to read any account of other people having nerve spasms right after withdrawal from Lyrica.
