Hi everyone i had a strange thing happen to me this evening. My hand/arm just had a spasm and threw the bowl i was holding and all the grapes i had in them all over the floor. Had no control whatsoever. It felt like if someone grabbed my arm and yanked it. I threw the bowl kinda violently. Ive had fibro for 11 yrs now and I'm on cymbalta, tramadol and norco. Anyone else had this problem before?
It was super weird. I'm used to dropping things but this was throwing things. Totally bizarre.

Sounds like a seizure.
Be sure to discuss this with your doctor. There is a chance of those three meds together causing issues.

Tracy, were you recently put on a med that might have caused this?

When I was put on Gabapentin, I had major leg spasms. I took myself off slowly and they disappeared.

Tracy, I would definitely call the doctor and let them know about this. That was a pretty violent jerking. It could be medication or it could be something else. We are all guessing...just like you are. So it's best to see a professional and find out what could have cause that. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I agree w all my Peers, call your doctor right away. That sounds scary :(. I drop things a lot but no, no throwing.

Definitely call the doctor.

I've had nerve jerks /spasms/ whatever you want to call them off and on for the years I've been dealing with this, but nothing that violent.

That could be the tramadol. It's not the benign medicine they claim it to be.
