I was diagnosed a few years ago, I frequented this forum for a long time to help pas the time, learn, and just be around those who 'got me.' This past year or so I've been making lots of progress as a musician, I launched a Youtube channel, and have grown to almost 1,000 subscribers. This past week it was heavy on my heart to make a video concerning Fibro and being a musician.
When I was first diagnosed, I had a rough time. At one point my wrists hurt so bad that I just put down my bass, and came to terms with never playing again. It hurt way too much. I have come a long way since then, and I hope that everyone finds their method of what works for them concerning relief from the pain (even if just a little bit!) I fully believe I'll never recover to 100 percent of what I was before getting sick, but at the 80 or so percent I AM at, I am taking full advantage.
I know all the hype concerning magic healing methods and 'cures' and promise this video has nothing of that sort, mainly just focuses on eating, exercise, warm up, stretching, setting up your instrument, and proper posture to minimize fatigue and soreness. Anyone, even those with out Fibro, could benifit. I hope you enjoy it, and please consider sharing it with loved ones if they are a musician and need some Fibro specific information.
Hi, Stinky! I did watch this and it was good but I'm not sure this is allowed on the forum since you can make money off the hits. This is why I took your link out. But if I find that this isn't going against the forum rules (#4) I'll put your link back in.
I'm really happy that you are doing so much better!
