help going off cymbalta

It sounds like you need to slow down the tapering. I know you must be anxious to get it over with, but Cymbalta was a very cruel drug to get off for me as well. I felt dizzy and sick for months, even after I stopped completely!
What made it doable for me was that I followed the directions of others who had trouble getting through the withdrawal…I simply removed one extra bead from each capsule each day. If I started to feel too sick, I stopped taking an extra one out each day until I felt strong enough.
Sometimes the doctor will let you start the new one before you have completely get off the old one. I did not want to do that, because, for me, I want to see what the condition is like medicine free every once in awhile. That is important to me; to look this thing in the face and see what my life is like without the pharmacological help. I do it every couple of years, usually in the summer when I am not teaching and can rest and reflect a bit more.
