phixgrrrl - I like the way you think.
I wasnt going to say anything here, but oh well.
There are to many Drs that just paste the fibro label on people with out searching for answers. Its acceptable to do this now, kind of a scape goat. Its obvious why. Anyone can paste a label, its hard to do medical detective work that insurance coverage balks at.
Once you throw in real body science -genetic mutations, mitichondria dysfunctions, autoimmune, viruses, bacterial infections, lyme, mold, Candida, leaky gut, thyroid, para thyroid, it gets complicated and you need to become a medical detective yourself - which is not something many people want to do when there already exhausted. All of the above can have symptoms that conveniently fall under fibro symptoms.
So if someone has some of the above and / or any that I missed, that could be their "issue" that was labeled as fibro by our less than stellar medical system.
You cant fix a problem that has not been found. And if you do, treatment is still limited. I was Dxed with fibro, and since found lyme and other issues that are hard to fix, so like many I deal with symptoms. I do wander over here to ask questions related to symptom relief - supplements ect
