I posted the same question in a couple places, since mitochondrial issues are present in lyme, this, and cfs.
Mitochondria myopothy is rarely mentioned anywhere, it should be more known, as its not a "label".

I am just starting to learn about
it myself, its deep in body chemistry.
Unfortunately its beyond what the average Dr who is more than willing to say you have fibro knows about
.
I'm just hoping someone else has dabbled into this.

I use magnesium malate which is magnesium with malic acid in it. The malic acid works in the mitochondria and helps with fatigue and the magnesium helps with muscular pain and cramping.
There is a link in Fibro 101 about
magnesium malate so you might want to check that out.

Yep, I take Mag glycitate, all the Mags that end in "ate" do something.
The multi vitamin compounded mixtures specifically for Mitochondria are a bit different though - the ratios and other stuff they throw in make them different from a multi vitamin.

they did studies on Malic acid and it was found to help people with Fibro with pain and fatigue. That's why I take and suggest magnesium malate. There is a difference.

Rockon-
thanks for the links
I read somewhere that 1 in 4000 people are known to have a mitochondrial dysfunction. They key word is known. So its rare, but there must be many more that just have not discovered it yet.
The famous Tour De France bike racer, Greg LeMond was D'xed with it, which is why he retired in his early thirties. He wrote a book on it to, since he was quite knowledgeable on body - nutritional science.
