I hope you find answers, Slee!
One of the effects of fibro is sleep interruptions and the inability to stay in deep sleep, which is what re-powers the body. This is why, even after a night's rest, many of us can feel as if we haven't actually rested.
Some are willing to forego sleep aids in the interest of reducing medication intake. Others, like me, need to have their brain sharp and so use medication. There is no one way to approach the issue!
Hopefully you can find a way that works with you in order to improve your sleep quality.
Thank you for your reply! I know that sleep problems are very common among those with fibromyalgia. I'm getting to the point where I may need to take prescript
ion medication in order to help me fall asleep. However, I'm going to try everything else I can before doing so. It's not that I think all sleep medications are dangerous; however, I'm already on a few prescript
ion meds and I hate taking a lot of medications.
