I take a multi vit, calcium and D,fish oil, magnesium, and biotin. I have taken CQ10, niacin, curcumin, and some I have forgotten. I eat very healthy, and am a big exerciser.
I have two feelings about vit/mineral use for chronic conditions.
One is that people make choices that work for their lifestyles and their pocketbook. This regime is largely determined by their belief system. Money can be a issue, but a bigger determinant is individual needs/beliefs. People prioritize their treatment For instance, my sister used far more supplements than I do. She did take medications, especially at the end, but grew up at the tail end of the 60s and patronized health food stores. She did not work. I am 12 years younger, and really need to work to keep my sanity. In order to do that, I need to manage my condition more evenly. So sleep and pain management have to be effective.
We chose what is important to us.
My other idea about 'natural' treatments is that they are not really 'from nature.' Honestly, really, truly. They can be found there, but not in the form we buy for use. The idea of natural in our culture today is pretty good marketing. Sure, supplements are more natural, but it is a matter of degrees and not absolutes.
I would also add that our condition/disease is aggravated by modern living--stress, schedules, and many other possible things. Yes, it likely has always existed, but the prevalence of the diagnosis in recent years must be linked to something.
Think about it. Cancer is diagnosed more often, and our doctors have become far more effective in treating it. There is a very big different between surgery, radiation, and chemo as compared to cannabis oil, Laetrile (sometimes called B17), and Ph level management. Medical charlatans Agostino/Mercola swear by integrating a ketogenic diet with hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
So, there are my thoughts. We use what works for our needs, and incorporate treatments that alignw ith our belief system.
Be well,friends.
