Hello- I'm a 50 year old male who has had infrequent, acute fibromyalgia attacks spread out over the course of my life. At present, I'm having some acute episodes that include muscle spasms. I typically have attacks in my calves. My skin is painful and feels like sunburn. Sometimes I feel a tingling sensation. The other day I had an attack that effected my right arm. This is a new thing for me, having two attacks within two weeks and having the symptoms in two separate locations. Question: What types of OTC medications do you find effective for acute attacks? I know that this site is cautious in dispensing medical advice, but works best for you? I'm also open to non-medication techniques. Advice and help would be appreciated.
