My fibro seems to kick up more this time of year. I especially notice it in my legs and feet (achiness and cramping). Every year it's the same story. Tests have shown it to likely be neurological, but I suspect as I age, some of it is arthritis.
I'd like to find a better way to stay warmer in bed this time of year, to fend off the achiness. I do wear my pink long-johns under my PJs, and that helps some. I tried adding another blanket, but the weight seems to lead to leg cramps (very touchy body and I'm prone to the cramping, despite taking magnesium, calcium, and potassium). I generally eat a banana in the evening, and take the supplements I mentioned with my supper. I also usually have chamomile tea in the evening, which is relaxing.
A sleeping bag might work, but not if I do develop a leg or foot cramp and need to get out of bed in a hurry!
I think some time ago, someone on this forum mentioned some sort of light-weight blanket-type of 'thing,' but I can't remember what it is or where to find it. I remember planning to check on getting one, but it escaped my mind (LOL!).
My heating pad helps once I'm up, but it doesn't do much good in bed, since I don't want to have it on overnight. Bed buddies help, but only last the first hour or so, and my pain seems to develop toward the overnight very early morning hours. Walking around a short time helps, but boy, do my legs get achy! This happens every year, around this time.
Does anyone remember what exactly the light-weight blanket-type 'thing' actually is, and where to find it? It sounds like it would help.
Any other suggestions very welcome!
Hope everyone has a good day.
