Cilly, I'm having one of those periods of time when I also feel non-functional. Off and on, I'll get a small spurt of energy, but am pretty lethargic, even though I take only a very small amount of meds (mostly I avoid them, but my body is very rebellious lately!). I feel like a very slow turtle, but am trying to get a little something accomplished. Yes, it's frustrating. :(
What I do then is sort through things--drawers, papers, and whatever else needs to be sorted. Then, I don't have to be on my feet.
I'm also working on a corner of my bedroom that needs attention! I sort through just a few things each day---not enough that I get tired or my legs and feet hurt, but just a bit to help me feel like I had a little accomplishment. I think we need to pat ourselves on the back more often, since we deal with so much in our daily 'fibro lives.'
I'm also writing short notes that I've been meaning to send to friends. Nothing long or involved; just a "how are things going" kind of thing. It gives me a lift and a nice way to connect. I love finding similar notes in my mailbox!
I don't get fevers, but do get slight chills occasionally.
For insurance, I heard a commercial for something called Medi-Share. It may be a Christian-related type of insurance as I heard it on a Christian station, but I'm not sure. Maybe you could do a search on it to learn more.
For the depression and anxiety, books by Dr. Claire Weekes have been suggested previously on this forum. I read a couple many years ago, and they're practical and helpful; very readable paperbacks. I'm sure they're still available online or your local library might have them. Just something you might want to check out.
I hope things are better for you soon. Wish you the best!
