Is all over pain normal with fibro?

I have pain from my head to my toes, it feels like when you have body aches from the flu.

Sounds very familar. I get like that during bad flares.

I've had flu like pain all over for almost 4 years straight and have Lyme disease, Bartonella and Babesia. Positive test for Bartonella after 2 years of testing every 3 months. Lyme and Babesia clinically diagnosed due to symptoms, tick bite and rash. The flu like pain is the worst! I'll take joint pain over this any day... Hope you were able to get relief.

Yes, flu-like symptoms are very common with fibro. Have you been diagnosed with fibro? If not, make sure other illnesses are ruled out first...things like Lyme disease and lupus. They have many of the same symptoms as fibro and there are specific tests for them. If you see a doctor and they say you have fibro without ruling out other illnesses, leave and find a good doctor.

Flu like pain is exactly what I experienced in my (what I believe was) onset of Fibro. Body aches and exhaustion.

But, what about physical stuff like cold/allergy symptoms?? I'm having alot of hoarseness and throat irritation that seems to come for a couple weeks and then go for a couple weeks and then back again. I'm sneezing alot more too. It's very similar to allergies, but I'm pretty certain it's not

Sometimes I have a hard time swallowing food, it feels like the food is just not going down right and I have to wash it down with a drink.

Can anyone shed light?

Serafina I get the same thing! I'll get a sore throat for a couple of weeks and then it will go away and keep cycling on and off. My throat also feels right sometimes and I feel like I need to drink water.
