I am six weeks out from a TKR. The first few weeks are not much fun, but by 4 weeks out I was walking around my house without assistance and with a cane out of doors. Now I only use the cane when I am going to be on uneven ground or doing a long walk. I go to physical therapy 2-3 times a week for 1-1.5 hours each time. It is pretty rigorous, but it is great to see progress being made.
I don't think my fibro affected recovery at all. If anything, fibro teaches you how to push through being uncomfortable, and that actually helps with the mental attitude you need for this surgery. I am very glad I took the plunge.
My new knee is already stronger than my "good" knee, which is now my "bad knee." You have to laugh!
