Hi all. I am new to the healing well site and very new to this forum. At my last rhuemy appt. about 3 weeks ago he told me that I have fibro as well as lupus and sjogrens so I've checking out this part of the healing well site. It was suggested that I introduce myself . I am 33 yearsold and a mother to three beautiful children ages 14,12 and 6. When I was 20 wks pregnant with my second child,my daughter, they discovered that her heart was having issues. It was found that she suffered from 3rd degree heart block. Which was caused by antibodies that I didn't know I had in my body. SSA and SSB. I was told that after the baby was born I should see a rhuemotologist. She was delivered early via c-cection and the next day had a pacemaker implanted. She is doing wonderful. She also developed kidney disease at the age of two but thats a story for a different day. I felt fine and healthy during and after the pregnancy other that the stress and worry that came along with having a baby who was ill and a two year old. I mentioned to my regular doc a few years later about the antibodies and he said if I wasn't having symptoms than there was nothing to worry about. Everything with my body was fine until two years ago when I woke up with the headache of all headaches. It went on for days. Having moved after my youngest was born and being a healthy person I didn't have a regular doc . I called around and got one. She ran some tests and everything came back normal. I was told to quit drinking coffee, and smoking and to come back in 3 months. I quit everything cold turkey and nothing improved. I just got sicker. Weak, tired and the headaches. I went back, she ran more test. Normal. A year passed and I kept going back and kept being told I was fine. She took my blood and then it was found that my thyriod was all messed up, my wbc was low and my vit. D was also really low. They did an mri and found a tiny tumor in my pituitary gland. I'm happy. I'll get medicine, I'll feel better, the tumor is no big deal i'm told. I didn't get better. I got worse. It was kindly suggested that it was all in my head. I stopped going to the dr. other that for my thyriod testing. Fast forward to spring of this year and I start getting a rash all over my skin where ever the sun touches. I start doing research online and things start to click. I go back to my doc and show her the rash and she says I think you need to see a rhuemy. I do , he takes blood and here I am. He tells me I am not crazy. I have lupus and sjogrens and now fibro. I have a small pharmacy in my cabinet. So yup that's my story. This site has been so helpful with info and support and I am so thankful to have somewhere to turn to because this stuff is overwhelming!
