Hi Sungirl1: Did they make sure your UTI was actually gone? Did they recheck?
I came down with a UTI last year. With treatment, my symptoms got better, but I still had issues. It turned out to be related to dryness (I'm post-menopausal) and also some bladder prolapse.
I had a recheck and the UTI was indeed gone. The ob/gyn gave me a prescript
ion for Premarin, which has helped the dryness. The only issue I have with it is the cost. I now use it more sparingly to make it last and use OTC lubricants or aloe vera gel (as you know, there can be side effects and reactions to anything, including these, so use caution).
To avoid UTIs, I take a cranberry capsule every day, and I bought those at Swanson Vitamins. I also drink a lot more water every day. So far, so good.
I don't know if you're near or in menopause, but just thought I would bring that and the prolapse issue up, just in case. So many things may or may not be related to fibro. I wonder if we'll ever know, in some instances. I'm glad you went to the doctor.
Take care and I hope your problem resolves soon.
