Hi all: The past few years, I've had more dental issues, cavities, etc.. I brush a few times a day, avoid sweets, floss 2 times a day, get regular dental cleanings, etc.--I don't know what more I can do for my teeth.
I also sip water throughout the day and use Biotene before bedtime and overnight if I get up. My dentist thinks it could be from the fibromyalgia itself. I'm wondering if it's from taking Flexeril and Neurontin, though my doctor has allowed me to only take small doses, as needed.
Does fibro, itself, cause dry mouth?
There are some great, helpful posts I found when I did a search here, but just wondering if anyone here currently on the forum is dealing with those issues. I'm getting older (nearly 60), so maybe that's a factor, too?
Even with insurance, dental work is so expensive, so I'm hoping to continue to gather new solutions.
Sherrine, you had a good post from (I think) 2009 that included home remedies for dry mouth. Exactly what I'm looking for--thanks!
Anyone else?
