Hi Everyone,
I have a question for you. In a previous post I shared my story about
living around an asphalt plant and how poorly I can feel on certain days with increased sinus issues, pain, burning, fatigue, and weakness.
If you were me, would you consider writing a letter to the editor in your local newspaper just to give people a friendly warning that the local asphalt plant might be one of the contributors to how they're feeling? And perhaps they may want to consider purchasing a particulate matter meter to know which days (from hour to hour) they might want to consider keeping their windows closed.
Or would people rather not know? I've mentioned the plant to a few friends with sinus issues and they were not even aware of its presence.
I guess I'm also concerned about
putting myself out there. A lot of people do not understand what it's like to live with fibromyalgia and the sensitivities that can come with it. Not like I think I would get much of a response, but. . . We've talked about
this in our forum before, that it's best not to say anything about
what we're experiencing in some cases. So where do I draw the line?
Sometimes I wonder if we have increased pollution issues going on in our country. Perhaps the regulations for asphalt plants and coal and gas plants have been lowered? Finally: might this be the cause of the increased severity of our flu epidemic?
Thanks for listening.
