Here is the link to the American Massage Therapy Association site. In the top left corner f the page you will see “find a massage therapist”. Click on that and it will help you find someone that is in this organization that lives by you. They have to continue their Massage Therapy education in order to be in this organization. My MT was always taking courses to be a member in good standing. If she didn’t, she would be taken off the list. This way, you know you are getting a highly educated person in Massage. If someone doesn’t know what they are doing, they can hurt you. My MT says there is no need for deep massages. They are more expensive and can definitely cause us more discomfort. She has always used on me a gentle form of massage that is used for fibro and myofacial pain syndrome. She is superb!
