I was in bed watching tv last night when I would swear an earthquake took place. I was totally awake but did have my night meds taken and I was awake longer than normal after taking them. That's not really unusual, though. There were some big shakes and some small ones but it lasted much longer than I've felt before. about 45 min. If I rolled to one side my legs went numbish. Everyone else said they didn't feel anything at all.

It really didn't feel like it was me shaking but I know our bodies also do some weird stuff. Have any of you been through this?

That does sound strange,

I was positive once that we were having an earthquake, that no one else felt..

Then a brick floor began rippling under my feet..it was an inner ear thing..it was never that bad again
But took like a month for the ear to completely calm down...

I got vertigo each time we had someone in the hospital, i think i was allergic to whatever they scrubbed the floor with..my husband was in the hospital when that worst time happened , he wanted me to go to the ER.. but i was rather busy so i just saw my dr..and waited it out..

Habe you ever had inner ear issues? Later on we had an actual earthquake, but thankfully it did not last long.

ThanksLjm2014, you may have figured it out. I am having some vertigo. I have it a lot but it is usually more subtle but this time I wake up with the room spinning. The Dr. has said that it's there but no reason that he can figure out. So, you just might be right. I happen to have an appt. with him monday so I'll ask.

But vertigo, pretty severe, did seem tied to thinkimg earthquake for me...

The floor of the hospital cafetaria , seemed to coming at me in waves..it was scary

Thanks, I will. I've thought of a few other odd things that could tie in but might not. For one, I was once DX'd with MS because I had several lesions on my brain and kept getting more although not big ones or very quickly. I didn't end up with lesions on my optic nerve or spine so they removed the DX. So, I'm also wondering if it might have something to do with one or some of those lesions.


It sounds like it's a big problem for you as well. I wish I knew something that would help. Do you get nausea with it? I have bonine and also zofran. (sp) They help some depending. Especially the zofran.

Lendi, just a random thought I have, so I wanted to post to you. You have been through several drs & been given different answers. When this happens to us, I often think we get what I call "dr burn out". That is the only way I can describe what happened with me, lol. I didn't have the conflict with diagnosis' such as you, but it was too many specialists involved at one time for me. I felt like dr offices became a new job for me.

Anyway, got a little off track. Have you ever considered going to a university/teaching hospital for a complete evaluation? This is something a lot of people often do because our main stream drs cannot connect the dots. I do not know if you have already done this or not. It may be something for you to consider.

Thank you for the suggestion, Susie. I haven't been to one but have given thoughts to it. My Dr. is sending me to a neuro/sleep Dr so I'll start there but if something doesn't show up I'll take your advice and go. Biggest issue is there isn't one really close but there is close enough. We just have to a bit to do it.

My cousin has sarcoidosis and I hear it's hard to diagnose and is missed quite a bit so I'm going to bring that up although I doubt it's an issue.

Till then I'll just "keep on keeping on."
