I'm coming off of Duloxetine. Was on 20, then 40, then 60, but most of the time I was on 40 and 40. I was only on this med for 2 and 1/2 months. Seems like I shouldn't be having too many withdrawal effects.....but who knows.
I was getting very concerned with this new symptom......where I get these big mili-second pulsations in my head........mostly in both ears. Like for one heart beat, the sound in my ears gets loud. This has only happened since I've been coming down on the Duloxetine (2 and 1/2 weeks ago). I'm now taking 20mg every other day. I've heard of Brain zaps and was reading up on them and it sounds like they can be different for different people. Mine aren't electrical zaps, but more like big pulsitile zaps in my ears (making me feel like the pressure in my head suddenly goes up then down). Anyone else have this type of thing when coming off an antidepressant? At first I was very alarmed by it, but then read up on Brain Zaps and these sound like a type of them.
Oh to have a simple physical body and mind. Some people don't know how lucky they are!
Anyone else have brain zaps when coming off a med?

Yes. I had that when going off Lexapro. It's very annoying but will go away eventually,
Good luck!

Hi there,
My friend got brain zaps when he was tapering off of anti Ds too, it is a weird feeling but they do eventually go away, as Vestabula said!
I am a huge advocate for CBD and CBG, they can help alleviate a lot of physiological symptoms for a multitude of ailments. If you are interested in learning more, please feel free to contact me!
Thanks

I've been on Cymbalta 10 years. I tried generic and got the brain zaps. I have to get the brand name and spend a lot more for it. If I miss a dose of Cymbalta I get the brain zaps. I tried generic 4 times for my insurance company and it seemed as though it was watered down or something.

Mine finally subsided. Hallahan..........I sort of had a similar problem with generic Tramadol. You'd think they would all be the same, but one brand worked much better for me than the other. Hmmm....I wonder if the original brand would work even better? So it doesn't surprise me that some people do better with the original med..........but unfortunately it costs more. Hmmm....even the "better" generic of Tramadol doesn't work as well as I'd hoped.....so maybe I should try the original?
