Hi mibella: I'm so glad your laparoscopy is over and the cyst was benign--great news!
Personally, I've only had anesthesia once (for a ruptured appendix surgery), but it didn't hit me particularly hard. Well, that I can remember! I do know I was given pretty strong doses of medication after the surgery. But I don't recall anything unusual, except I did have some mild, lingering, occasional feelings of sort of a sleepiness, which lasted about maybe 5 months. I think any kind of trauma, medical procedures, etc. could hit us kind of hard, especially with fibro.
Maybe check with your doctor. If you don't have a fever, I wouldn't think your body is trying to fight off anything, but then again, I'm no doctor!
This kind of reminds me of a few years ago when I had Novocain for a dental procedure. When I was done, I stood up and it was like I could feel my body's electrical impulses all the way down my legs! It was like things were reconnecting or something. I'm guessing it was the fibromyalgia and/or neuro issues I have. Strange stuff!
Take care and hope things are better soon. Medical procedures can do weird things to our bodies, and just to reassure, maybe phone your doctor.
