I signed up last year when I reached retirement age for a well-known insurance provider.
So far, well, not a bad plan, but sort of 'meh.' I do think they could have better coverage, though I realize most if not all plans are costly these days. I also take into consideration that costs on just about everything have risen in the past couple of years.
I guess I got turned off on my current provider because of their poor handling of an issue I had mentioned in a previous post. I won't elaborate as to what it specifically is, but they pretty much dropped the ball. I've had to fax, phone, e-mail and even 'snail mail' to the company about this issue but got only a short 'oh well' response each time.
I am going to contact them again tomorrow, as the last rep I spoke to was 100% sympathetic with my issue and was going to speak with her supervisor for more help. (But I'd heard that before, unfortunately!).
Anyway, I'm just checking around to see if anyone here has had more satisfaction with their insurance plan, especially if retired. My husband is still employed and I was under his plan previously, but that was much more expensive.
Thanks for any input!
