A couple of great days

John, I know that you didn't need a reply but in this case I could not help myself.

When someone.... be it patient or caregiver has a good day or two it makes my day so much better. It's the good days that help most get through the bad days. And as you and anyone else dealing with this disease knows that sometimes when you are in the middle of the bad days ............it is so hard to remember the good ones.

So thank you for sharing John.

John, that was a wonderful post and I am so glad that you are feeling energetic. We forget sometimes how great the little things in life can be (like the smell of wood chips). Keep it up!

Pink Grandma and Shelley - Thanks for all that you do for each of us. I hope you know how much of a positive difference you make in each of our lives, patients and caregivers alike.
June - I can't tell you how much I hope that calm days prevail for you. And I hope that when the storms come that you'll let us know so we can urge you on. I don't know if you're a movie fan but some movie maniac friends herded me into re-viewing Forrest Gump. So when you mentioned the storm, all I could envision was Lt. Dan, now first mate on the shrimp boat, sitting high the rigging during a hurricane, coming to terms with God, first with anger and then finding peace and a good life on the other side of the storm. I like that scene.
Joann - It's funny that you mention campfires. This evening I went to a party at a friend's home located high in farm country and overlooking one of the large cities here. All of his parties are outside and it is still cool in the evenings (40's) so there was a nice fire burning by his patio. While I didn't place the feeling at the time, now that you mention it, it reminds me and makes me long for camping, sitting around the fire, eating freshly caught fish and eagerly awaiting desert -- (mind fog - can't think of the name) a hot fruit compote with bisquick muffin-like islands floating in it. Thanks for the image. Let's find lots of good things to think about.
This morning (it's almost 3), I'm touched and a bit misty. Sitting here in bed, writing and thinking of nice things, talking to you guys, listening to the Beatles' Abbey Road album, my faith is renewed. I even have kind thoughts for my gaggle of ex-wives.
I hope that life treats you well.

I will have a wonderful day. A friend who plays banjo with a New Orleans- style jazz band is throwing a small concert, hiring a restaurant and inviting only friends. I am blessed with an abundance of social friends and as I get together with them now that my disease is active, I find that I treasure them more each day.
And as I meet new friends here on the forum, I find that I am doubly blessed. Friends that share common highs and lows, symptoms and treatments, and a level of caring that comes from facing critical, and deadly, situations.
So I will enjoy my day and hope that you will enjoy yours. I wish you good weather and gentle thoughts.

John  I totally forgot about Forrest Gump.  One of my favorite movies.  We need to watch it again.  We have a second home where part of that movie was filmed.  I love to go there and sit on the bench and watch the magnificant sunsets.  You just managed to get more wonderful visions in my head.

Greetings ALL!!

just popping in to say hello!!  Things have been going well for me and mr. wonderful.  we are out west for a few weeks to enjoy the desert blooms.  had a little fall off the proverbial wagon, but things are back on track now!  as soon as his blood pressure started to go up and i reminded him of the way he was a short month ago and did he want to go back to being that way, he got back on the wagon.  the only thing that i am concerned about is some tell tale signs of a stroke.  some memory loss and some slight speech impediment.  we did the brain MRI several   weeks agao, and i called the neurologist several times to get a report, but no return call.  when we return, we have an appt with her, and should know more then.  he is doing lots of walking and reading and relaxing and sunning. 

shelley, honestly, never got past the first couple of chapters of the book you recommended.  but there is no question that you have guided me...many continued blessing to you and yours!!  i am eternally grateful.

Joann, i'm keeping tabs on you and jerry.  keep up the great work and know that we are pulling for you two!!  You continue to inspire me and educate me!! I just know that there is going to be a successful transplant right around the corner!!  no more curve balls, just that fabulous fastball that i know Jerry is going to hit out of the park!!  love and light to you!!!  

would love to know how things are for butterfly!!  any word from her???

Hello Rainbeau, So glad to hear from you and that Mr Wonderful is doing well. We haven't heard from Butterfly in a spell and I am getting real worried. I hoping that her computer is on the fritz and that everything else is going well. Post when you can as we get concerned about you and your husband also.
