HAY CONNIE THANKS FOR CONNECTING. REGULAR DOCTOR TOLD ME HE HAD HEP C. HE WENT FOR A REGULAR PHYSICAL. YESTERDAY HE WAS TESTED FOR HIS VIRAL LOAD COUNT.

Okay, Blessed.  I suggest you have his regular doc refer him to a GI doc or hepatologist, though...if you can find one that will accept a child.  Many don't.

By the way, you do not have to start a new thread to answer a person.  Just click on reply below the post and write your reply, then click "enter."  That way we have ongoing posts in the same thread or subject.  ;)

Welcome to the site! I have a 22yr.old son that was diagnoised with chronic Hep B esld, in 8/2002. He contracted it from a bloodtransfusion in 1997 16 months old he had AML leukemia.10 yrs. in remission from AML when we found out. Of course teens are sexually active and this day and age it is sad that they are not educated more! You have definatley come to the right place and as everyone has mentioned get to a Hepatologist, they do have Pediatric GI and Hepatologist Dr. Where are you from? We are in Florida! Orlando, Nemourous Childrens Clinic and All Childrens Hospital has many Specialty Dr.. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers! Don't panic I know easier said than done, but wait til you get all the results Dr's. do make mistakes! We know that first hand! Wil's could have been controlled if we had known sooner!

Hi you all.   You have been so helpfull to me in the past but I don;t know how to get back in there.  I have been away for a few weeks and now I am back.   My friend is dying and he is making it sound like everything is great.  He's on the list, he feels great, but I can tell in his voice etc. he is lying.  Is this one of the signs he is ready to pass away?  I opened his pool a couple of weeks ago and he looked and sounded great but now he sounds drugged and he says everything is wonderfull.  But very slurred.   Am I kidding myself thinking he is doing better?  He looks the same (sick as all get out) but talks so calmly.

Scared to death...........
