i am so happy for the 2 of you i was in icu for 5 days so dont be alarmed
its all uphill from here get some rest you deserve it

Last evening they moved him from ICU to a private room.
The doctors, nurses and other staff keep laughing and telling him he is doing GREAT!
One ICU nurse told him on an A to Z scale (in his opinion) my hubbie is an "A"!!!!

It is amazing... he is starting to LOOK like himself again! In just 2 days! Go, liver, Go!!!!

Dear LaBunna,

My words cannot express how thankful I am that your husband was able to get a transplant. It imust be surreal.
My husband is no longer eligable for a transplant, but I am thrilled that your's was.
I pray that your marriage will come back together again, as it was before, or even better.

Yes, this is all surreal.
Hubbie is hurting very much today and has been/is vomiting.
The staff is right on top of him today, which makes me nervous.
We are certainly not in the clear, yet.

I am so happy .you should be happy the staff is right on top of him the 3rd
thru 5 days are the toughest. you should get some sleep and let them do their jobs (smile) are they giving him meds for the pain? that may make him throw up

La Bunna, I pray your hubby will be okay.  It's good that the staff is "on top of him" and can respond quickly to any problems.

La Bunna, I am so happy to hear that your husband is doing well after the transplant. I am glad that the staff is paying special attention to him and will pray that he feels better soon. Hope you are able to get some rest.

OMG  I have been at the beach and just logged on.  How could I have missed this???  I am so happy I can hardly stant it.  I want to hug you so bad!!! Please e-mail me and let me know how hubbie is doing.  As soon as you are rested and hubbie is better can we talk???PLEASE --PLEASE  let me know how you are.

Saturday morning update:

Hubbie is feeling less nauseous today. His voice is stronger. They actually made him get up yesterday (with all the vomiting) and walk. The P/T folks are TOUGH - God love 'em.

On the best note ever! My BFF is here from Wisconsin to help and support me! She arrived by train yesterday afternoon and I have been sooooooo happy and soooooo grateful and soooooo excited! Whew... it is so nice to have some help!

MOre later, I have to walk the dogs and then hurry downtown to the hospital.

Hi La Bunna, I am so glad that you have a friend there to support you. I can't imagine going through something like this alone.

La Bunna, I'm so happy to hear that your friend is there to support you.  I know that means the world to you.  Also glad to hear that things are progressing nicely with your hubby.  I know all about those Physical Terrorists!  LOL!  They always got me out of bed the day after hip replacements.  It helps to build strength and lessens the chance of pneumonia.

I am so happy that your hubby is doing so well and that they have started his PT (Wow already isn't that a miracle). It is wonderful to hear that you have a friend with you to help support you during this time. Try and get some rest. I am sure that you are running on pure adrenaline at this point. What would WE ever do without our BFF!!!  I said a prayer last night for your Hubbie.  Is he doing a JIG today.  I'm so excited for you I just want to HUG you!  The fact that your Hubbie got a transplant gives me so much HOPE.  I know it isn't easy but when you have time please keep us posted.
