Hi Terrijames~
Hopefully there will be some people on this board who may offer much good advice. And, should you want/need more, there is a very active board at MSN Health...free sign in and go to the Hepatitis C board. Try to keep this in mind: Knowledge is Power.
I hope your BF will have negative results. I know how very difficult the waiting is. I was dating a very nice guy who was diagnosed during our courtship...though I tried to be supportive (friends don't run just because you're sick), he broke off our relationship stating that his diagnosis really messed up his head. I'm sorry he felt the need to go it alone. But it is his choice. Yes, it is scarey, shocking, numbing...but NOT a death sentence. I know it's easier said than done, and waiting a month for confirmation is terribly stressful, but try not to worry about things that have not yet come to pass. Hope for the best, and then deal with what comes. Worrying won't change a thing..only produce negative energy. At this point, you and your BF can only take it one day at a time. And I hope your BF realizes and appreciates having someone who cares so much. Not everyone is willing to make that kind of a commitment.
I wish you both all the best....
Ciara
