Just a quick update

Hello everyone, sorry it's been a while since I've been back. We had family come out from CA to visit dad and say their goodbyes. He's doing ok, all things considered. The swelling in his face and around his eyes has gone, which is great. But it intensifies the gauntness of his face. He's gotten a little less steady on his feet, and he's not making as much sense anymore. He has periods where he is really with it, and then other times when he thinks my mom and I are my aunt and grandmother, at least when referring to use when talking to other people. Today I told him we were coming to get him around 1, and he was dressed and outside and refused to go in and eat his lunch, insisting to his nurse that his mother and sister were supposed to be there. Then he came back in and said that they weren't coming, he knew what they were up to, Eff them. Clearly he's getting a little more agitated. He's also nodding off a lot, although some of that could be because he's on Adavan now too, to help with the muscle spasms and the pain it causes.

They haven't done labs on him in a long while, although I wish they would just so we would know where he stands, chemically speaking. So, that's about it. I would say we are moving, steadily, into stage 3, if we aren't already there.

How is everyone else?

Hi ESLD, I just wanted to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are still with you. My husband remains stable. His meld stays at around 10 and his varices have actually improved. I thank God for that.
