I recently was diagnosed with Hep B back in Oct. 2003. The doctors waited until April to start treatment with PegInterferon Alpha 2-b, powder for injections, once a week. From October my viral loads have ranged anywhere from only 1,000,000-50,000,000. Then, they labeled me of course as having Chronic Hep B and then thats when I started treatment. During the course of the injections, we have seen the ALT go from 239 to JUST recently only after the first 8 injections to only 70. Does this mean that I am getting better? Does this mean that I might be cured, and is it possible to "sero-convert" and be CURED completely after treatment? God I hope so, I am so scared, only 25, and haven't told my parents, I am just so alone in this. Any advice?
