Well we made it thru another day. He hasn't ate anything today, just drank water. He doesn't get up to go to the restroom, just uses the urinal, he's just getting weaker.
We did try the Nexavar, with no success and he did so much better when we took him off of it. We aren't going to the doctors anymore and he wants to die at home, so I'm doing the best I can.
If his disease hadn't progessed as fast as it did, maybe they could have done a biopsy and found out about the cancer before hand and moved him up on the list, but still yet 2 months wasn't much time. In reality maybe he shouldn't have gotten the transplant, but I felt like God was giving us all a second chance to say our "I Love You's" and we have definitely had some good times since the transplant. We are going thru a bad time now, but I Thank God everyday for the time we have had.
For all the caregivers out there, I know how hard it is. Transplants do come and I have seen some real success stories out there. Sometimes they don't come and patients do die, but never give up. Jerry was on life support from 10/09 til 10/17 when he got the transplant and not one time did they ask me if they could turn it off. They did tell me that he would not leave the hospital alive without a new liver. I never gave up.
keep praying.
