Hi all,

Well, I finally broke through and am finally beginning to recover from my radiation therapy for my tonsil cancer. I hit a real low about a month ago and needed to go spend a few weeks with family in AZ. The home cooking and warm weather really made a difference.

I had not been warm in many months so to hit the 80's and 90's was heaven. I'm now back in CT, where winter is still firmly in control with temps in the 20's to 50's. I'm down about 50 pounds so I'm at my fighting weight of 165.

I have not been keeping up with your posts, so I hope that all is as well as can be expected. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

It will be some time before I qualify to back on the list but I hope now that I am gaining stamina and spending a few hours each day awake, that I will be spending time here. I have missed you.

It is AWESOME to hear from you at last!  So glad that you are doing better.  I think your decision to go to a warmer clime with family was a good one.

We have lots of new members here, as you will see.

I just had blood work and a CT scan last Wed. and the results were good.

We've really missed you and prayed for you, so WELCOME HOME!

John it is so good to hear from you. yeah yeah yeah Jeezz Lueezzz you had us concerned. I am so happy that you are doing better and spent sometime with your family. I freeze if I go to Washington State to visit sister..........can't image the cold that you east coast guys live in.

But we sure missed you. A BiG welcome back friend. As Connie said we do have a lot of new wonderful members.

Now that we know that you are home and doing better the next important question is...........What are you listening to tonight? tongue

It is so good to finally hear from you. You have been in our thoughts and prayers, and I am so glad to see you are doing better!! Hoping the pain has subsided!! I can only imagine how good it felt to be in AZ in warm temps......welcome back and again, we are sooooo glad to hear from you. We have all been worried about you (but knew you would post when you could).

John, when you feel up to it, could you bring us up to date.  Did the radiation wipe the cancer out?  (I hope and pray that it did!)  Do you stlll have the feeding tube?  Are you able to eat anything by mouth?  What's the plan now?  I can understand you need to get your strength back and make sure you are cancer free before being listed for a transplant again.  What kind of effect has the cancer and radiation had on your liver disease?

Hi John. Glad to hear from you . I was just in Arizona my self on the 13th and 15th for my routine check up. I just couldn't get out of my jeans and sweater. It was nice and warm outside but those clinics and motels are freezing. We"re supposed to get a big snowfall here. The weather has been so strange. Of course I remember a few years back when my oldest adopted brother passed away in Colorado on Mothers Day we drove all the way in a really bad snow storm.

John, I am so happy to hear from you. Like the others you have been in my thoughts and prayers constantly. I am glad you spent some time with your family. The weather sounds get. I don't think I could handle CT weather. I cannot stand winter. I live in Missouri where the weather is very unpredictable. The winters are pretty mild though. I hope to be hearing from you again soon.

Glad you are doing better. You were right next door to me........kind of. I am in Southern Nevada just north of Vegas. and HOT weather is upon us and will be until October
