Hello everyone, I have some wonderful news. John called me and left a message on my phone today. Darn, I was at work so I didn't get to talk with him. I did call him back and left a message on his phone.

He said that he is doing okay. He is tired alot though. He is in the process of moving to Arizona and can't wait to get settled so that he can get back on the computer and start posting again.......... yeah yeah yeah

John if you read this...........you don't know how happy I was to hear your voice...........and can not wait to you start posting again. You have been missed terribly.

For are new members.........JohnCT is one of our old timers, who made the transplant list but had to get taken off when it was discovered that he had cancer. He has been battling the cancer and liver disease at the same time............what a fighter!

Just had to let everyone know!

John you still have our thoughts and prayers..........

That is SUPER news!!!  I was just telling someone about him this past weekend!

I'm so happy to hear he is doing OK!  John, good luck with the move.  Maybe the dry Arizona weather will do you some good!

John, PG told me over the phone tonight that she had heard from you!  What great news that you are doing well!  I'm sure you won't miss those cold CT winters!  Will you be able to go to Mayo in AZ?  I just moved myself, but actually closer to Mayo here--where I'll be going early in the morning for a hip revision. 

Take care and when I get back home in a few weeks, I hope that you will be posting!  Thanks so much for letting us know you are okay.

John, I have missed you and worried about you so much. I am relieved and happy that you left a message with PG. We love you buddy and can't wait for your posts.

Just an update..........John has moved to Arizona already......and is doing well according to one of his family members.............Okay John.........hope you get settled in quick...........thoughts and prayers..........

PG  That is so great about John.  I hope he will get his transplant.  I have some good new!!!  Vanderbilt let us come home today.  We can't wait to sleep in our own bed for the first time in 3 weeks.  They took all of Jerry's 49 staples out yesterday and the drain tube.  We were able to come home because we found a lab locally that could do a 1 day turn around time on Prograf test.  Sounds like it will take a while before they get it where they want it.  Of all the crazy things Jerry was doing so well but yesterday his feet and legs started swelling really bad.  Just like before the transplant.  Also he is having trouble sleeping I think that could be the predisone.  Has anyone had that happen. Also they called us at the hotel to tell me to really watch him because his red blood count is really low 2.7.  They said he may need a transfusion.  I'm a little frustrated because he was doing so well and now same OLD problems.  I try really hard to remember this special gift he has received.  I need to concentrate on that.  I have also read that he will have some bad times.  So I will just dwell on the gift and see how he does over the weekend.  His apatite kicked in to gear on Friday and he has not stopped eating.  I;m sure that is another symptom of Predisone.  Anyway just wanted to keep you all posted and I hope that John is reading this.  I so wanted to share with him.  He always made me feel better.  You all hang in there.  Jerry is living proof that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

How wonderful that you are back on.. me too and i am so excited I feel almost normal reading the posts. Go to Drs tomorrowfor monthly and also to my surgeon wo repaired 2 hernias on Aug 10th. Now I really have to watch the salt.

JoAnn, PG told me when I was in rehab about Jerry's transplant.  I am so thrilled for you guys!  However, don't be surprised if he has to be readmitted.  "Stuff happens."  The sleeplessness is due to the prednisone.  It also causes agitation and pacing.  My friend's hubby lost 20 lbs. almost overnight, just from pacing on the pred.

I finally got back home myself on Sat.  Hope to hear from you soon, John!!
