Question

My husband has ESLD and has been ill with it for over two years, his MELD has been as high as 17 and as low as 6 and is currently not listed for transplant.  Here is my question:  Monday he yelled for me and I rushed to the bedroom, he said he felt like he had been kicked in the chest and had the feeling he was falling down a hole, he also complained of dizziness and nausea, he has had heart problems in the past and has a pacemaker.  I called 911 and the paramedics checked him out for a heart attack and said his heart showed no signs of one, everything was normal but he wanted to go to the ER where we spent eight hours and still they didn't find anything, after worrying about this all week I had a thought this morning that maybe he was starting to slip into coma and it startled him awake, has anyone ever experienced anything like this?  I am at a loss as to what could have possibly happened to him, thank you.

Hi Connie, I know it has been a long time since I posted but have been reading when I can.  My husband has pretty much been holding his own with the liver desease although he suffers from a lot of fatigue and sleeps a lot.  The only thing the ER doctor mentioned was that he had some fluid in his ear and that possibly he may have had a vertigo like experience, I have scheduled an appointment with his GP to discuss this and get a referral to an ENT, it was such a strange incident and I think he was really worried that he was having a heart attack but all his vitals were normal.

They did a pacer check and it was fine
