I was dx in Jan 09 after at lesat 1 year of symptons (weight loss, fatgue, right uper quad pain, low bp). Had been complaining for at least a year to dr. I was honest about
being a moderate drinker but she drinks tea!!! Anyway, high blood preesure and highe cholesreol were main problems. After acisites and jaundice and pain landed me in ER then hospital for a week to get my gases and levels close to normal I am now on disabillty and struggle everyday to keep up with life an wear a smile. Unless you have someone you going thru this horrible diease, you can't know what it's like. Although everyone means well and some even love me, it seems I'm pretty easy to ignore, which is hard for my husband and his social life. I'm hopping he'll sign up with this site so he can chat on his own and get support as well. Hope to hear from some ome soon

Hi, SD. You joined our forum in Feb. The secret to gaining friends here is consistency in posting so that others get to know you. So go ahead and post replies on other's threads, as you've done today, and hang around for awhile. You will then get to know people and vice versa. Having a chronic illness is very hard on relationships. It's really impossible for others to understand unless they've been through it. That's why the support here is so helpful. So stick around for awhile. By the way, tea is very beneficial, especially green or white tea. I hope you do not drink alcohol at all anymore!
Hugs,
Connie

Congrats! If we had an applause emoticon, I'd put it here: <applause>

it was nice talking to you. My eyes are tired and my belly is hungry so I'll feed the tummy and close the shop down for the day ! Talk with you soon!
