mom

I had my kids watch mom and went on my vacation. Had tons of fun she had to call me everyday but I just took it and continued my fun. Anyway I posted on another thread about mom seems to have a very unsteady gait and she did fall she is sore but fine had a wheelchair from my daughter had (someone gave it to her but she has her own) so I gave it to mom and trying to teach her wheelchair safety. Just wondering why only certain people get really jaundiced. Mom still is hardly jaundiced at all. Her heptic fetdor seems worse though.

Pug, I am really glad to hear that you went on vacation and had a good time!  That's great!

The term is fetor hepaticus.  I'll add that to the Medical Word List.  I have no idea why some patients turn yellow and others don't.  The jaundice is due to high bilirubin.  Mine has never been much above normal.

Remember to keep taking care of yourself.  It's good that you were able to obtain a WC for your mum.

Well better tell you a little about mom she quit losing weight and she has gotten a little yellow but not much. Her diabetic condition is good blood sugars are running a little low but not bad she is still sleeping alot. Not wanting to do as much and not eating alot but she is good and happy. Funny how its the little things that make us smile and feel good.

Thanks I will. I have decided this disease right up there with certain cancers. The not knowing is going to drive us nuts. One time its really bad and the next it is like their not sick at all. Today mom is up moving and sitting in my living room watching tv knitting pretty as you please heehee. Weird and knowing you have no control tomrrow they are sooo sick they cant even move.
