hello everybody sadly my dad passed away at 8am our time,he was in the hospice an we were all by his side,it was as would be expected very sad,but mum had come to terms with it all in the end,so by the time it came for him to go she had accepted it.I was thinking this morning it has only been 20 weeks since i found him unconsious in his bed,the very first symptom,with the big belly.It has been a rollercoaster,however we lost him very quickly,i was told on here when i first found this forum that he would either go down hill very quickly,or he would manage to stabalise his condition,sadly a lot of peeps on here know just how quickly it can take a life.I thank you all for your comments,an knowledge about this disease,it helped me come to terms with it.Also to know that he would have suffered more in time.Once again thankyou for all your comments an knowledge an i wish all of you well in dealing with your conditions of this illness,or if you are here becauce of your loved ones,i wish you strenth to carry on. spooky xx

So sorry for your loss spooky... sounds like mom was able to come grips with some of the grieving process.... it's been since April... and I'm still dealing with Mike's death everyday... even though I have gone on with my life... and yes... happens quickly...my prayers are with you... and your family.. I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot remember where I heard it, and it is not my quote, but I like think the saying about "when someone you love dies, you gain an angel you know" it is a pretty powerful thing for me.

(((Spooky))), please accept my sincere condolences on your dear father's passing. As MMMNAVY said, you gained an angel. I firmly believe that. Take care of yourself......lot's of thoughts and prayers........

Spooky-I am sorry for your loss. Take comfort that you were all there with your Dad. Remember to still care for yourself, this is such a hard time. Prayers and thoughts are with you.

Spooky...I too am sorry for your loss. His transition is complete. A sad time. I am most relieved to know that your Mom came around to understanding it was his time. Again, sad, but a necessary realization. My best for the future...a time when Mom will need your support in continuing her new life. You may find the days long with the hypervigilance of the last 20 weeks gone, may even feel a little depression as you all grieve. Hugs to you all. Mama Lama.

Sorry for your loss.Be strong and hang in there.I always say god never gives you something you cant handle.God bless and take it easy.My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
