Allie, where did she walk in drunk? Isn't she in a NH? Who got her the booze? I'm not understanding this. As for quality of life: She hasn't had any for a long time. As a hip replacement patient, who had the original replacements done very poorly, I have always felt that there was a problem with your mom's hip replacement. There should not be pain after 2 mos. A little stiffness and aching in damp, cool weather, but not actual pain.
I applaud you for taking care of yourself. Look how long this has gone on already. And as you state so well, it could continue for a long time to come. Meanwhile, your family and your own life have paid the price. Let the professionals take care of your mom. You take care of yourself and your family.
