I was just going through some of the older posts and realized that we have a lot of wonderful members that aren't posting any longer or haven't posted in quite some time. We would love to hear from you. Please drop us a line and let us know how you and your family are doing.

I also noticed that we have a lot of visitors reading our threads......Some are even members.......who haven't posted yet. I'd like to invite you all to join us. I promise no one will bite. We would love to hear from you too.

First of all I would like to welcome Rose........I've read a few of your posts in other forums........I lurk too.......especially in the fibro forum as I have it too.   Sorry that you are dealing with liver disease yourself and are worried about your husband's liver too.  But as you know it's better to know your enemy so that you can put up a good fight.  

Secondly,  I would like to welcome back rainbeau...........You have been missed!.........as well as exhausted.  How are you doing ?  Can you give us a little update?

Hello Guys and Gals! I joined recently and have been lurking and reading other people stories. Many of you give me hope and motivation of everything you have been through. I hope to gain support and understanding of this disease through this forum. I came to realize I have hepatitis b through some routine test to get into a study and hep. b test was one of the requirement. I never thought in my mind that I would receive a call from the Health Dept. indicating that my hep. b test was positive. As soon as I find out I completed endless amount of research on the internet and hope that it was a fasle positive or an acute infection. My pcp completed a second test in which it reported that my HBV DNA was 3652, HB CORE AB (IGM) as non-reactive, Hepatitis be antigen as nonreactive, hepatitis be antibody as reactive and hbsag as reactive. From my research, my test results would indicate that I may have a chronic infection. I completed my first intake with my Gastro MD on March 31 2011 and awaiting the results for additional tests he order and result from a ct scan which cause me an alergic reaction. I ended up getting hives all over my body. I really don't know what else to say except for the fact that I am scare and hoping to learn as much as I can so that I can better take care of myself. Also, I've been going through much health related that I am scare to receives calls from my doctor office because I don't anymore negative news. This hep b results has change my life 360 because before the diagnose, I was mainly focusing on trying to get pregnant but couldn't due to hypothyroid and block tubes. With the recent diagnose of this hep b, my engagement is no more because my fiance feels that with all that is going on with medically, he feels that we are not meant to be together. In any regards, I have hypothyroid, block tubes and now hep b and a broken heart. I just hope to get a breakthough soon and I mean soon!

Ditto on what Rick and David said...and keep in mind, that was coming from men!  So they have better insight into what your lousy fiance was thinking.  As a woman, I would agree with them as well.  Someone who leaves you because you are ill is not worth your time.  The person you should be with will be supportive and helpful...even if initially scared. 

As per your Hep B, please speak to your doctor about getting a Hep A vaccine as you don't need that one too.  Sadly, there is no vaccine for Hep C.  So what are your LFTs (Liver Function Tests) like?  Have they talked abotu doing a biopsy to check for amount of damage?  There's also something called an MRE (Magnetic Resonance Elastography) that is able to measure fibrosis/cirrhosis and is non-invasive.  Here, in the States, it's only available at Mayo.

I am a 26 y old female living in Iceland.
I have Auto Immune hep its behaving now and all is good :)
I just like to check out the hep side to see if there is any info on AIH.
But I am a fairly regular on the Crohn's forum.

I am also here following Ron ;) I check out his blog almost everyday.

My Bf had a tough time with me being sick, I just told him to man up or get out well he chose to man up and is fine today.
Its not our fault that we are sick, if we had a choice none of us would be.

You will find someone who loves you just like you are ;)

Glad to hear your AIH is behaving well.  Mine is too!  I'm on the bloods every 3 months, hepatologist every 6 month plan.

Wow, it's amazing to hear from all the new people...Glad you joined in with us...Our same old stories probably get a little boring for all of you and we need some "fresh meat" here! LOL! Not only can you learn from us, but we can learn from you as well. I love to read the stories of how everyone is affected in different ways, so keep it up and post, post, post!!!

WOW!!!! I am so excited now that I joined this particular forum. I've been looking for a support system or a place that I can go and express myself and know that others will be there to suport me. I am so glad I can be apart of this forum. I really appreciate each and everyone for commenting on my situation and welcoming me in such a positive way.....you Gals and Guys are awesome. It's amazing how when situation or things happen to us we sometimes think that our world is coming to an end but I can now say with some hope and the help from you all that I will come to see a light through this dark tunnel I've walking though. I will keep you guys updated on my situation as well come around to serve as a support and resource for some of the memebers here.

Hello Dany, Been trying to contact you for awhile ,someone has put a spell on that laptop I was using (I suspect Connie) .I am not as straight forward as David ,. Firstly I must say it's a pleasure to have heard from you ,It's a welcome change to talk to you ,beats the hell out of the Sea Captain and the Southern Boy (HAHA). There will be plenty of time for some love games .
Same goes for Hope I'd write to you seperately but it's my afternoon nap time.
