Just wanted to know whether anybody has also suffered from hair loss. Mums hair has been falling out quiet a bit recently.Anybody knows why?

Mike's hair did thin during ESLD... not sure if some medications cause this or not... Sandi

Hi Cindy0001 my sisters hair has been falling out a lot recently so much so that we have had to get the plumber to come twice to unblock the shower drain! I dont know why but my feeling is the lack of essential vitamins and minerals. Mandy

Actually I think it has been addressed before......but it's been awhile.  It does seem that it is part of the disease for a lot of patients though......my husband included.  And also myself.......the stress I was under made my hair thin also during that time.  So our tub regularly plugged up with both of our hair.

Interferon also causes hair loss.

my hubbys hair falling out in patches and he also losing hair from his legs and under arms too?! do not know why though.xxnatasha.xx

WOD-I have read that liver disease upsets the hormonal balance between the male/female hormones. This can result in growth of male breast tissue and contribute to hair loss...I have read about under the arms, but I don't recall other.

thank you, i read somewhere it can be a rare symptom too. still very confused about it all to be honest! g.p. again this week so maybe just maybe we might find out a bit more of what is going on!. have been studying the nhs patients charter this week as they have said they will do no further investigation into my hubby as he is still drinking. it seems that their word is final. only option is to go private but costs mega money that we dont have. i will continue to badger the g.p. untill they give in!!. xxnatasha.xx
