Long Time

It's been a while since I've been on this forum. My Name is Mary...sorry to hear about your hubby. Sorry Rick is no longer posting, his posts gave me hope.  We are in the process of walking away from our home and filing bankruptcy.  My husband has realized he can no longer work and has been approved for SS.  With his Union pension and SS we are able to rent a nice home where he can be comfortable and not worry about a mortgage. He is trying so hard to gain some weight but as fast as he eats, usually halfway through the meal he is in the bathroom with diarrea. He had another scope done in April and they put 3 more bands on his esohogus. They found "nodules" on his deodendum and goes back in July for another scope, biopsy and transplant eval. He has no muscle left.

Wondering-
I am sorry that your family is experiencing hard financial times in addition to your hubby's illness. I hope that you will come back and post so we can all offer you support.

Yes he as well as my children are the most important things in my life now.  He is going to my daughters softball games now where before his business came before family. Despite the stares and questions from other parents about his dramatic weight loss he goes and cheers her on. Our son got his driving permit and hubby has been taking him out practicing often.  One day at a time and I will never give up. He drinks 3 Ensures a day, even on days when he can't eat anything. I have given up drinking also so I will not tempt him. I was never a heavy drinker but enjoyed my Bud Lights and mixed drinks on the weekends. Now the thought of having one makes my stomach upset.
