Welcome to HealingWell!  I have the same!

When were you diagnosed and what meds are you on?  Are you seeing a hepatologist?  What questions do you have?  I was diagnosed in January 2007.  I had severe damage but no cirrhosis.  I've been off steroids since Dec 2008 and am only on 100mg azathioprine.  I also take Ursodiol as my hepatologist thought I had cholestasis from the aza a couple of years ago.  He wanted me to decrease my dose but I didn't want to risk a flare so I opted to treat my symptom and it worked so I'm fine where I'm at now!

How are you doing?
I´ve also got AIH ( along with two other autoimmun diseases). I was diagnosed in 2007. Initially it was a bit difficult to manage it and getting the livertest go down to normal levels. I had preds for a year and also was put on chloroquine which I´m still on. A medication not so often used, i´ve been told, but it´s working for me and I´m taking it because I have had negative sideffects on many of the other more often used meds.

I remember being quit scared in the beginning but now it feels much better.

I have AIH and pbc. Like you I am new to the forum. Ask away, danny seems to be very clever on stuff AIH, as does this to shall pass. I am still learning.

Hello and welcome, I have a flavour of AIH called PSC, and like others have 2 additional autoimmune diseases in addition to the liver complaint (Crohn's and Ankylosing Spondlylitis). Hopefully you can find the answers to some of your questions...it seems that we are seeing a few more AIH people lately...
